Traditional barn
Hens in barn systems are free to roam inside an outdoor unit designed to keep them clean and safe.
Hens in this system have the following advantages: Living in larger groups allows them more social interaction with other birds and protects them from weather and predators.
The barn allows the hens to have a wider repertoire of behaviors such as nesting, roosting and rolling in the hay.
Each traditional Kontogiannis barn egg has the word barn on it, one by one, so you always know you are indeed eating fertilized barn eggs!
